End of Year Wrap Up

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks since I last wrote on my blog, let alone believe it’s only 18 sleeps until Christmas!  Where has the year gone?  It’s certainly been an interesting and definitely ‘topsy-turvy’ one – with plenty of lows and highs for us all.  Thankully we made it through the floods and cyclones that started the year with little damage.  My heart went out to the stricken families of inner Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley, but like everyone else who was not affected could only offer as much help as we could after the event.  On a lighter note, I met one of my Pilates heroes – Pilates icon Rael Isacowitz – at the National Pilates Conference in July.  I managed to fit in quite a few workshops to further my Pilates knowledge and keep adding new exercises to the classes to keep you all on your toes. We got brand new reformers and a wunda chair for the studio which have proven to be a lot of fun for everyone who has used them. I battled with pneumonia (as did heaps of my clients) and finally won. And tomorrow I’ll go and have some relatively minor (I hope) shoulder surgery.  Phew – makes me tired just writing it down!

I hope that all my clients have had an enjoyable year at Inner Strength Pilates – we’ve sure had plenty of laughs.  I would like to tell you all how proud I am of your achievements this year, and I want you to be proud of them too.  For some it was finally mastering the elusive roll up, for others it was just a matter of being able to get down and up from the floor without undue pain or strain.  Remember where you started and think how far you have come – you all deserve to pat yourselves on the back.

Matt and I sincerely wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year.  We look forward to seeing you in the new year, fired up and ready to take your Pilates to greater heights.
